Desiree Voorhees

Physician Assistant

Desiree treats each patient with compassionate and individualized care. She desires for all her patients to feel welcome, heard and looks forward to working with women of all ages. Desiree’s philosophy is to care for each individual as if they are family.

Desiree received her Bachelor of Science degree from Loyola University Chicago. After graduation, she moved to Austin, TX. She initially began working for Dr. Uribe as a medical assistant. It was during this time that Desiree realized the respect, interest, and passion she has for women’s health. She then attended UT Health San Antonio where she obtained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies. She is a member of the American Association of Physician Assistants and the Texas Association of Physician Assistants.

When not in the office, Desiree enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and dog named Wrigley. Family is important to her, so time spent with extended family is a key aspect in her life. She also likes outdoor activities, cheering on her favorite sports teams, trying out new restaurants, and traveling.

Desiree is fluent in Spanish.
