Born in Singapore, Nina has moved around the world with her family but predominantly grew up in Lake Tahoe, Nevada. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Nevada, Reno and her Master of Clinical Medical Science and Physician Assistant Certification at Barry University in Miami Shores, Florida before settling in Austin.

Prior to joining Dr. Esfandiari’s team, Nina provided holistic psychiatric care which deepened her understanding of the relationship between physical and mental health. With a background in sexual health education, Nina is excited to empower and support her patients through their sexual and reproductive health journeys while prioritizing and optimizing their mental health.

Nina is an active member of the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants (TAPA), American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), and Association of Physician Associates in Obstetrics and Gynecology (APAOG). She also sits on the Board of Directors for the Central Texas PA Society. Outside of work, she enjoys running (albeit slowly) and recently completed her first half marathon. You can also find her hiking with her husband and dogs, Baxter and Gracie, baking, eating her way around Austin and traveling the world.
