Dr. Hwang is originally from California and grew up in Missouri. She attended a unique and accelerated BA/MD program at the University of Missouri-Kansas City that allowed her to complete her undergraduate and medical education in 6 years. After graduating, she moved to St. Louis, MO to complete her residency training at St. Louis University.

While in residency, Dr. Hwang received awards for Outstanding Resident Teaching Award and Chief Resident Award for Academic Accomplishments and Excellence as a Specialist in General OBGYN (sponsored by the Society for Academic Specialists in General OBGYN). She was also inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society.

Dr. Hwang is honored to share the privilege of caring for women through many of the most significant moments of their lives. Her goal is to create a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment where patients feel heard, informed and empowered to make decisions about their health. She is excited to provide compassionate care to the Austin community.

In her free time, Dr. Hwang enjoys traveling, hot yoga, attending concerts and spending quality time with her friends and family.
