Dr. Marco Uribe is a native of Laredo, Texas and received his undergraduate degree from Yale University and Medical Doctorate from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Uribe completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine affiliated hospitals. He began his practice with Austin Area Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1994, after spending seven years as Assistant Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology for Kelsey-Seybold Clinic in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Uribe is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He is also a member of the Texas Medical Association, the Travis County Medical Society, and a number of specialty-related organizations. He holds a clinical faculty position at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, and has received numerous Faculty of the Year teaching awards for surgical instructional training.
His interests include general Obstetrics and Gynecology with a focus on preventive care, preconception counseling, infertility, menopause, and the diagnosis and management of pelvic prolapse and urinary incontinence. This includes urodynamic bladder testing to better determine the specific causes of voiding dysfunction.
Dr. Uribe and several members of his clinical staff are fluent in Spanish. He is assisted by his Physician Assistant Amy Grove, who is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia.
